Every baby needs fats in their diets and all baby formulas will provide a similar amount of fat. However, most other brands on the market use 100% vegetable oils as their fat source. With Bonya, we’re able to use less vegetable oil by using milk fats, plus the milk fats provide a natural source of Milk Fat Globule Membrane found in mammal fats (including humans!). That’s a win-win for us.

The milk magicians who created Bonya have over 60 years of experience in baby nutrition and they always avoid unnecessary ingredients. So, we’re happy to say you’ll never see Palm Oil on our ingredients list.

Bonya has no Fish Oil and we use plant-based DHA instead. That means our formulas have been certified by the Vegetarian Society and unlike most other brands gives our fish-free friends an option that works for them.

Here’s another example of our milk magicians keeping out unnecessary ingredients! We do not have any Soya in our recipe, however it is made in a factory where there could be traces of Soya so we’ve marked it out as a potential allergen on the box. If you’re not sure, please check with your medical team before using.

The NHS recommends that baby formula is made fresh for every feed, so we do too. We’ve got a full handy guide on the side of our box too. We like to think of it as bottle-side reading.

Bonya is happiest when kept in a clean, cool and dry place, like a cupboard away from direct sunlight or heat sources like your oven or hob. Baby formula does not like being stored in a fridge (the humidity can make it clump) and powdered formula is not suitable for freezing. Your Bonya box has 2x 400g sachets inside, so you only need to open one sachet at a time and can keep the other one fresh! If you prefer, you can also transfer the powder to an airtight container - just make sure to write the date you opened the formula on the lid!

Once you’ve opened it, use your Bonya within 4 weeks. If your Bonya is unopened, check your individual box for the best before date.

Yes you can, but we like to suggest you give your baby a little chance to get used to any new tastes or sensations! Having a transition period of 7-14 days, gradually increasing the new formula day by day can help minimise any common reactions like gas, constipation or fussiness.

Yes! Our cardboard box and the scoop inside are both widely recycled. Plus, both Tesco and Sainsbury’s offer soft plastic recycling at their stores, so you can drop off your Bonya sachets there too if you like.
